With extensive experience in business development and management, he brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and innovative thinking to the role. Under their guidance, the Chamber has launched initiatives that strengthens small business owners, organizations, and public-private partnerships. Jason’s commitment to making a meaningful impact in every aspect of life is what fuels his goals to make the chamber the vehicle that drives growth.
Passionate about creating a thriving business environment, Jason actively collaborates with entrepreneurs, civic leaders, and residents to ensure the community’s prosperity. Outside of work, Jason enjoys volunteering, taking advantage of all the outdoor activities Walker County provides, and spending time with his wife Kendra, their three adult sons and daughters-in-law, and grandson Antony.
Shannon Higbie, IOM
Vice President of Administration

Shannon is our Vice President of Administration. She handles the financial details for the Chamber and oversees the in-house financial statements, building and equipment maintenance, and provides record keeping for the monthly board meetings and the organization. She assists with the implementation of the Annual Board Planning Retreat, annual financial audits, the Mary Francis Park Memorial Scholarship and is staff liaison to the Thursday Leads Exchange group. Shannon is a graduate of Huntsville High School and holds a BA in English from Sam Houston State University. Shannon joined the Chamber staff in January 2003 and has completed the Fundamentals of Chamber Management through the Center for Chamber of Commerce Excellence. She is a graduate of Huntsville Leadership Institute Class 39. Shannon received certification from the U.S. Chamber Institute for Organization Management program in 2024.
Kasadi Gutierrez

Kasadi Gutierrez is the dynamic Marketing & Events Director at the Huntsville Walker County Chamber of Commerce. With a passion for community engagement and a knack for orchestrating memorable events, Kasadi plays a pivotal role in promoting and enhancing the local business environment. She oversees the planning and execution of several key annual events, including Diva Night, the Golf Tournament, Fair on the Square, and The Awards Gala, each of which brings the community together in unique and impactful ways.
Kasadi graduated from Sam Houston State University, where she honed her skills and developed a deep connection to the Huntsville community. Beyond her professional pursuits, Kasadi cherishes time with her husband, Fernando, and their children, who keep the family active with competition dance, baseball, and the precious joys of toddlerhood. She also has a deep passion for personal and professional development, continually seeking ways to grow and contribute to her community.
Jonathan Murphy

Jonathan Murphy serves as the Membership Director at the Huntsville Walker County Chamber of Commerce, bringing over 14 years of industry experience to the role. His extensive background spans small businesses, churches, and large corporations, equipping him with a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of the needs of various organizations. Jonathan is dedicated to fostering strong relationships within the community and enhancing the value of Chamber membership for all its members.
Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife, Taylor, and their 2-year-old son. The family is excitedly preparing to welcome a baby girl in March 2025. Jonathan's commitment to his family and his community is evident in all that he does.
